17hh 7yo Bay Gelding
Westphalian German bred horse (our only foreign import).
Lovely short-coupled horse with beautiful paces. Extremely easy on the flat. Does not get fazed by atmosphere at all.
Scopey jump, very adjustable stride. Bold at all types of fence but careful – hates to hit a pole.
Taken to one Training Horse Trial with us in December 2010:
- 1st after dressage (66%)
- Clear show jumping
- Clear cross country but taken slowly so unplaced
This was his first time out for two years.
Great trainable brain. Willing and cooperative but very laid-back.
This horse is very similar to Cool Mountain, ridden by William Fox-Pitt from UK Team Gold and Individual Silver medals at WEG 2010.
Started with German dressage upbringing. Sold through German horse auction as a three-year-old. Moved to UK where he started his eventing career slowly and correctly. Brought back to New Zealand by Kiwi owner/rider but she was unable to compete him due to an injury she incurred on another horse. Extremely low mileage horse with many years in front of him.
