You can buy from us with confidence. Over the past 15 years we have sold well over 100 Clifton Eventers to happy owners around the world. We list below some of the comments others have made about us and our services since 2008:
As for the horse, Extreme has been awesome! He's lived up to his name in more ways then one. He's exactly how they described him and has been great to deal with-even my non-horsey sister likes him a lot! He has got lots of talent and is careful and kind.
Overall it was a really neat experience and we have come away very happy and have an awesome pony.
Clifton Cheeko has lived up to all our expectations coming along very fast we have only had him 2 months and we have had so much fun with him he is no hassle to take anywhere with a very kind and honest nature. We asked you for an honest and fun horse and that's exactly what we have got every time out on the cross country I have come back smiling. The team was very honest with everything about Cheeko and we have had no surprises as he has settled in with us.
The team was very helpful also after we brought Cheeko by offering continued lessons to help get to know him and make both me and the horse happy, Clifton Eventer's have also always offered to help me and Cheeko at competitions to help us get round with the best results. Buying a horse off Clifton Eventer's has been a very hassle free experience as it was fast and we got exactly the horse that we wanted and much more.
Thank you so much Clifton eventer's for the perfect horse.
I have to tell you that my husband is the happiest person on earth since he got Clifton Abbott. He is exactly what i was looking for, a horse that takes him, that he doesn´t need to push and that jumps without stopping.

Bluebell was quite a green young horse that needed to be schooled professionally. I wanted her to have varied training, and have her ridden with some one with a lot of experience. I had seen the Clifton riders riding out at competitions and in training and I really liked their style riding - how extremely soft they could be and leave the horse completely - but also be hard if needed.
She needed to learn how to go straighter and her canter really needed to improve. Her speciality is to shoot of with her head up in the air resisting the bit, those where the main issues that needed to be worked on — and not rush so much when jumping.
Bluebell is now a much more balanced horse. There was a big difference between how she went on the left rein and right rein that is no longer as big. Her canter has really improved and is now lovely.
Before she came to Clifton Eventers Bluebell had no back shoes and did not like having her back feet handled. They where absolutely amazing and she now has her first ever hind shoes on! And they organised to have her once cracked wolf tooth extracted.
They've also taken her out to compete her, and having been a green horse it is great for me to know what she is capable of, so I can go out and have fun with her in the future.

What a privilege it was for Victoria (my ten year old daughter) and I (an expat Kiwi) to spend two weeks riding at Clifton Eventers during our summer holiday in New Zealand.
Victoria had one hours dressage, one hours theory and one hours jumping each day (she had never jumped before) and I had one hours dressage.
It is hard to express what this experience meant to us. A rave review seems to trivialise.
Summer Philipps, Frances Stead and Jock Paget were not only highly professional but incredibly kind, friendly and encouraging. In answer to my statement: 'Please don't be polite - tell me what I'm doing wrong' Frances replied 'Here at Clifton we focus on what you're doing right!'
Set in the rolling hills above Muriwai beach, Clifton Eventers offer an exceptional experience of relaxed Kiwi riding on fabulous well balanced, happy performance horses either in the outdoor arena, cross country on their own property or along the sand at Muriwai beach, with world class instructors who are not in the least pretentious.
We made so much progress that we are still implementing their techniques four weeks later at home in Germany.
I must unfortunately add one word of warning - going home again is not easy! Clifton becomes addictive! In an ideal world we would stable our horses there and have regular lessons....
I'm planning our next trip. We'll be back!

Update: The Schneider family bought Clifton Riviera two months after returning to Germany and he is now a firm favourite at his new equestrian home.
Riva arrived safely … we are delighted with our gorgeous new family member!
After this experience of buying a horse in New Zealand from Clifton Eventers and having it flown to Europe we are very impressed and will definitely be interested in buying future horses from you as well.
We are delighted with Riva and I will send video material so that you can see his new home and progress. I'm concerned that we won't be able to keep him up to Clifton standards but will do our best! Please continue to keep us in mind for future horses we are convinced Clifton fans.

I wanted to let you know what a wonderful time I had riding with Jock at your beautiful farm. It will be an experience I will never forget and what I have learned from Jock will be so helpful to me in my riding in the future.
Cliff and I are excited to watch Jock's progress with Promise and all the other wonderful horses he is creating for his Olympic Dream. You will have lot's of supporters here in the States as I am constantly telling people about your superb training facility and program. All the horses looked so relaxed and happy as they went to work, they have such a confident and eager to work attitude. The horses are all well cared for and loved by all your team!
I hope in the future we can come back again and do a longer training program with you and Jock. I would love to buy one of your horses one day, and I will highly recommend your horses to anybody who is looking for a solid, confident, sound, and talented horse for any riding discipline.
