Dressage prospect

Almost unheard of combination of the natural elevation of a warmblood with the lightness and forward movement of a thoroughbred. Excellent rhythm – when asked for more the stride just gets even bigger and ground-covering, rather than faster. Responsive and easy to ride.

First dressage test scored 75.7%:

  • Paces -8- ‘Trot and Canter show lovely freedom and regularity'.
  • 8 – Impulsion - ‘Showing nice suppleness'.
  • 8 – Submission.
  • 9 – Working trot – ‘lovely regular steps'.
  • 9 – Trot change rein and progressively show some lengthened strides – ‘very nice'.

Other dressage judges comments:

  • ‘Horse has lovely ground-covering paces'.
  • ‘Lovely forward movement'.

One dressage judge actually came to find owner at the end to say this was the nicest young horse they had seen in a long time. (In their opinion nicer moving than Clifton Signature who was in same class – he won the Young Event Horse Championship at Puhinui 2009 and is a warmblood by Esprit).

By Dom Tristram.

Has been seen to windsuck occasionally when tied up to a rail.

Also lovely scopey jumper

Could specialise in straight dressage, but taking nothing away from his willingness to jump. He is honest and bold at any cross country or showjumping question. Only lightly evented but always clear cross country – very bold and brave with alot of scope.

Training level horse trials. Great with chevrons / skinnies, banks, water, ditches and showjumping fill.

Easy going nature with other horses and people. Graze in a herd or alone.

Easy to clip/shoe/float/catch.

Great to hack out alone and in company.
