The selection of Andrew Nicholson and three of his horses – Nereo, Avebury and Mr Cruise Control – as the only members of the ‘A Squad’ in yesterday’s announcement by Equestrian Sports New Zealand (ESNZ) clearly demonstrates the UK rider’s continuing domination of the sport in the lead-up to the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky later this year. |

Clifton Lush, ridden by Joe Meyer, slipped to 13th place at this weekend's CCI**** event at Luhmühlen, near Hamburg in northern Germany, after collecting four rails and four time faults in the final show jumping phase, taking their score to 69.0 penalties. |

Clifton Lush, ridden by Joe Meyer, has become the leading Kiwi combination at this weekend's WEG selection event after completing an "absolutely stunning" clear cross-country round 14 seconds under the optimum time, taking the pair to sixth place on the leaderboard. |
