Horses taken for schooling
We offer expert schooling with excellent 24/7 care in outstanding facilities.
Short term schooling
We recommend two weeks as the normal short-term schooling option as this allows new behaviour habits to start to form. This is the minimum time period, unless exceptionally agreed in advance.
Normal daily rates are as follows:
- Keep costs – covers individual paddock, hard feed, hay, general care, etc: $20
- Schooling work per day: $50
- Alternatively horse walker plus lunging: $30
The normal week would involve:
- Five days schooling
- One day walker and lunge
- One day rest

One-off cost of worming on arrival: $25
All costs plus GST.
Longer-term schooling
To more deeply implant new behaviour habits, horses will benefit from longer schooling periods.
After the first two weeks normal daily schooling rates reduce as follows:
- Schooling work per day: $40
- Horse walker plus lunging: $20
All costs plus GST.
Lesson in place of schooling
A lesson with the horse is offered as an alternative to schooling work at a discounted rate of $60 plus GST.
