Joe Meyer
Joe is based in the the UK with his wife Deborah at stables near Lingfield in Surrey, 40 km south of London.
He has built up his horse riding expertise from an early age in New Zealand through to representing his country in the 2008 Olympics, the World Equestrian Games and back to back top 10 placings at Badminton in 2006 and 2007.
Born and bred in the Wairarapa region of New Zealand his parents own and manage the successful Mamaku Stud. They owned the stallion Tara Mink... his most famous offspring being one of the greatest event horses of all time ... Charisma the small star who took Mark Todd to fame and fortune in the eighties.
Born into equestrian greatness it was in his genes that he would achieve considerable success at National level and then going on to captain the NZ junior squad. In order to progress his career he took his top horse Southern Star to England in 1996 and after a lot of hard work and dedication resulting in exposure to top level competition.
Joe has a yard full of successful stars and up and coming youngsters. His top horse Snip has taken him to Senior Team representation in the 2006 World Equestrian Games as well as a 10th place at Badminton Horse Trials in 2006 and 7th place in 2007. In 2007 he finished 8th in the Premier League and 26th in the BE points table.
This years highlights include finishing 20th at Badminton on Ease on Fire, 14th in the World Cup Qualifiers at Chatsworth International Horse Trials with Ariki & 3rd in the CIC*** with Snip, 7th in the CCI*** at Barocca with Ariki, and 1st in the Thoroughbred Championships at Barbury International with Clifton Lush.
In August of 2008 Joe represented New Zealand at the Olympic Games within the Eventing discipline.
Joe achieved second place in the Scottish 3-star CIC Championship in August 2009 with Clifton Lush and eighth place at the National Intermediate One Day Championship in July 2009 with Clifton Chatter.
Joe's latest team represented for New Zealand was on Clifton Lush at Aachen in July 2009, when the team placed third against all the major European nations.
Clifton Chatter
16.2hh Chestnut TB Gelding born 7 January 2002. Purpose bred as a sport horse by Wendy and Robyn Jacobs at Double J Stud.
Joe started with Clifton Chatter in August 2007.
Clifton JJ Chatter is now jointly owned by Frances Stead and Hampshire-based Lucy Allison. Lucy also bought a half share in Clifton Lush from Frances earlier this year and the excellent success of this partnership gave them the desire to follow it up with another Clifton eventer.

Clifton Lush

Joe started with Clifton Lush in February 2007.
Clifton Lush is now jointly owned by Frances Stead and Hampshire-based Lucy Allison. Lucy has also bought a half share in Clifton Chatter.
